Customs: Russian aluminum exports fall 42.8% in January

MOSCOW, Mar 11 (PRIME) -- Russia’s aluminum exports decreased by 42.8% on the year to 115,800 tonnes in January, the Federal Customs Service said on Wednesday.

In monetary terms, aluminum exports fell by 39.7% to U.S. $209.2 million in the period.

Copper exports increased by 35% on the year to 59,600 tonnes worth $351.2 million, a 33.7% increase.

Nickel exports fell 27.2% to 8,500 tonnes with the cost falling by 17.3% to $112.2 million.
